2007 Yakima Valley Semillon
This one is fresh, not very heavily oaked (63% unoaked) & delicious with a variety of recipes. The 2007 vintage is reminiscent of freshly baked meringue, with some citrus aromas (lemon meringue?). Grapes from Carter Family & Desert Hills Vineyards comprise the blend.

2007 Yakima Valley Sauvignon blanc
Our latest vintage of Sauvignon blanc showcases a couple of spectacular Yakima Valley vineyards. The Newhouse & denHoed families planted these vineyards years ago and the mature vines express the variety & location tremendously. This blend is 4% Semillon to add some depth & flavor. We sort fruit, crush & press very gently to preserve a clean expression of Sauvignon blanc character. Chinook Sauvignon blanc pairs with a variety of savory foods from fresh herbs & vegetables to citrus & seafood.

2007 Yakima Valley Chardonnay
Two different multi-generational Yakima Valley vineyard families sell us their ‘old vine’ Chardonnay – truly OLD vines. Fruit from these vineyards results in flavors in the wine reminiscent of tropical fruits & Granny Smith apples. These flavors were amplified by cool fermentation in lightly toasted oak barrels. We think that the wine is a nice accompaniment to grilled shrimp or sweet pepper pasta.

Yakima Valley White Wine
A delicious, dry blend of Semillon and Sauvignon blanc. In the same vein as our popular Yakima Valley Red Wine, we blended this fresh, delicious second Yakima Valley White Wine from 90% Sauvignon blanc (approximately half oaked/half unoaked) & 10% Semillon. As are all of Chinook’s wines, this one is totally dry.
